Today's stories are mostly about defending against risks that haven't fully arrived yet. OpenAI's two posts cover both ends of running a frontier AI company at scale: Habitat's storage overhaul keeps ChatGPT fast for over a billion users, while its training-containment measures guard against model weights leaking during development — one is a performance story, the other a security one, but both are about infrastructure maturing alongside demand. Cloudflare's post-quantum GeoKey Manager addresses a longer-horizon threat directly: data encrypted today could be harvested and decrypted once quantum computers mature, so geographically fencing keys now is a hedge against a risk that's still years out. The one active-exploitation item today, a Collabora Online CODE server flaw now in CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, is a reminder that the more immediate risks — ordinary remote code execution in widely deployed software — still need the same patching discipline regardless of how much attention goes to tomorrow's threats.
